LOCATION AND ENVIRONMENT

Our base is at Four Elms near Ipswich. We are just off the A14, which provides dualled links to London via the M25, A12 or M11. London is 1 hour away. The A14 also provides dualled routes to the Midlands, M1, M6 and A1. The local train station is 1 hour from Liverpool Street station, London. It also provides links countrywide by train.

Four Elms is located in 6 acres of grounds. The residential area is separate from both the administration and school buildings. The school building has recently been refurbished to a high specification. In addition to general-purpose classroom areas there is a separate ICT suite and a food technology area. There is a swimming pool on site and fishing on the lake in the grounds. There is a games room together with a comfortable lounge. There is a separate family lounge for visitors. We arrange many activities in the local community, which has all the facilities required for young people. We also encourage links with other schools and colleges for sports and leisure events.

Lewisham is a 4 bed unit based in the community with a multitude of facilities appropriate to placements based in London. Colchester is a 4 bedded MLD unit again based in the community setting. Both these units are homely and welcoming.
